The birth of our son

Well our life has changed drastically over the last year. I can't believe how long it has been since I've blogged. Well since last year, a lot of new things have happend. I got pregnant, quit my job and we welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world on July 28, 2012. Kyler Jax was born at 11:42 pm weighing 7lbs 11oz 19.5 inches long. He is beautiful. God has truly blessed our family. Well this pregnancy sure was different from Jillian's. Jilly was born 4 weeks early weighing only 5.5lbs, and I had an epidural with her. Kyler on the other hand was a different story. We actually ended up at the hospital the day before for a false alarm. I thought my water had broke but it turned out it wasn't water. Boy was I shocked. I had been having contractions really bad all that day, so when the hospital sent me home I was so upset because I knew I was in labor. So we went home and I woke up the next morning with even greater contractions. I wasn't feeling well but I really wanted to get things started. So I went next door and walked the neighbors stairs for about a half hour and came home and rested. Oh and during the day I think I took like 8 baths.haha. It really helped the pressure and relaxed me. Okay so it wasn't 8 but I did take 3. Around 9:30pm I decided to take another bath to relax before bed. And while I was sitting there, I felt a POP! It scared me at first and then I realized, "Oh my gosh I think my water broke!" so I call Charlie and he comes in and I get out and tell him "I really think my water broke this time." So he says okay lets go. Anyway, so I bend down to get dressed and all this water comes out, so I knew, our boy is on his way.
So as were driving my contractions are intensifying...ALOT. We get to the hospital and I tell them, I need my epidural right away. I knew by the time they got everything together and ready that I would need it. I never remembered my contractions so bad with Jill, probably because my epidural kicked in before they really hurt. Well finally they moved me into labor and delivery i'm almost in tears with pain, and I keep asking for the epidural. Well apparently the anestesiologist was in a C-Section room giving someone else hers. Now what I forgot to tell you was, when we got to the hospital around 10pm (a half hour after my water broke) I was already dialated to 5. Well, time just seemed to fly by after that. As I'm screaming for my drugs, the nurse doesn't say a word and that's when I knew I wasn't getting my epidural. She checks me again around 11 and says your at 9cm. Imagine the shock I felt when she said that. The nurse leaves the room and says "get me a doctor NOW!" Luckily my Doctor made it in time and when she got there it was time to push. Two pushes later Kyler Jax made his way into the world. He was perfect. I couldn't imagine loving another child the way I love Jilly but it was just amazing. Its a true testiment to how wonderful God is. I really didn't think I could give birth without the drugs, but i'm so glad I was able to endure it. I really think God was with me and spared me from a terrible long delivery and I'm so blessed.
I'm not sure if God will bless us with another child, but I am perfectly content with the two he has given us. This world is a scary place and it terrifies me what it will be like when my kids hit their teenage years, but I know God will help Charlie and I lead them in the right direction.
Oh! On a side note Charlie and I celebrated our 5th year wedding anniversary this year and we both are turning 25. Time just flies and I am so thankful for everyday I am here with my family and friends. I thank you all for reading and taking part in our life journey. May God Bless you all.

Well Jillian's Birthday is April 8, so we had her party on Saturday April 9th. It was a huge hit. Jilly loves pigs, cows, sheep, ducks, horses, etc. So I decided to give her a farm themed birthday. It was alot of fun. Charlie cooked Hot dogs for lunch and I put together a few projects. One was the "Grow a farm animal" and of course the Pinata. We were supposed to do "Pin the chick on the barn" but I actually had more kids than anticipated. Jilly had so much fun with all her friends. And her best friend Lyra came which she loved. We had about 45 people there.
Unfortunetly, it was cold and rainy that day but everything turned out ok. Charlie's mom made homemade Rootbeer and that was a huge hit. All in all I think everyone had a good time. Jilly got a ton of gifts. Here's some of the things she received:

2 Trikes
A bubble mower
Clothes
Books
A baby stroller
2 Bathing suits
Noah's ark Little People
A real Recliner
A Giant Elephant to lay on and watch her favorite movies
Strawberry Shortcake doll
New Sandles
Magnetic Paper Dolls
A Leapfrog Laptop
A Bell Doll
Littlest Pet shop animals

And the list just goes on. She had a wonderful Birthday and I am so thankful to everyone who could make it. She is growing up so fast and I just can't believe how fast these 2 years went by. We are so Blessed.
